Natural Remedies to Help Lower Cholesterol

You've probably heard on the news that drinking a glass or two of red wine per day is good for your heart. Did you know that it's effective for improving your HDL (good cholesterol) level? Here are the amounts recommended for men and women:

Women - It's recommended for women to have one drink per day. This doesn't have to be red wine, it can be any type of alcohol in these increments: 5 ounces of red wine, 12 ounces of beer, or 1 1/2 ounces of liquor.

Men - For men, the amount is a little bit higher. Recommendations are twice the amount for women, or 10 ounces of wine, 24 ounces of beer, and 3 ounces of liquor.

Going over this amount is detrimental to your health, but staying within this range is good for cholesterol and high blood pressure. Natural remedies to lower cholesterol and high blood pressure are effective and improve your overall health. Prescription drugs don't accomplish this because they don't treat the cause of your condition.

When possible, always use natural remedies for your health instead of synthetic drugs!
